Canadian hockey sticks, wine and cement subject to new Trump tariffs
President Donald Trump imposed 50% tariffs on Canadian products including hockey sticks, wine, and cement, citing retaliatory restrictions on U.S. goods. The tariffs, effective August 19, are based on Section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930, a provision previously unused, and follow earlier invalidated tariffs under IEEPA.
