Canadian hockey sticks, wine and cement subject to new Trump tariffs

President Trump imposed 50% tariffs on Canadian products including hockey sticks, wine, and cement, citing retaliatory restrictions on American goods. The tariffs, effective Aug. 19, were authorized under Section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930, a provision not previously used for this purpose, and follow earlier illegal tariffs overturned by the Supreme Court.
