The Supreme Court has stayed the arrest of Senthilbalaji in a Tasmac corruption case. The court cited the change in government in Tamil Nadu as a reason, stating there is no cause for concern about his influence on the investigation.

Justice Mohana has recused herself from a Supreme Court hearing related to Senthilbalaji’s appeal against the denial of anticipatory bail. The Chief Justice stated he would constitute an appropriate bench shortly to address the petition.

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear on July 31 an appeal by V. Senthilbalaji against the denial of pre-arrest bail. The Madras High Court had previously rejected his bail petition, stating the case requires custodial interrogation.

The Madras High Court denied anticipatory bail to DMK MLA Senthilbalaji. Justice G.K. Ilanthiraiyan dismissed the plea after the State Public Prosecutor cited a minimum loss of ₹100 crore to the public exchequer, emphasizing the need for custodial interrogation.

DVAC conducted searches at premises linked to former DMK Minister Senthilbalaji in Karur. The searches are related to alleged malpractices in the sales and supply of Indian-Made Foreign Liquor at TASMAC outlets during the previous DMK regime.

Ashok Kumar, brother of Senthilbalaji, has filed an application for anticipatory bail in the ₹35-crore TVK MLA bribery case. He claims no involvement in the case, asserting it was orchestrated with a political motive.

T.N. Minister Nirmalkumar accused DMK's Senthilbalaji of attempting to influence TVK MLAs to support a no-confidence motion against the Speaker. A TVK MLA filed a complaint, leading to the arrest of three individuals.
