Russian forces attacked the suburbs of Kharkiv, killing three civilians and injuring 16. Additional attacks occurred in Izyum, Sumy, and the Bilozerka community in Kherson region, causing casualties and infrastructure damage.

Russian forces struck Sumy and the Kherson region with guided bombs, injuring civilians and damaging homes, while a drone attack in Izyum injured 17 people. The attacks occurred on July 19, causing three injuries in Sumy, one death and four injuries in Bilozerka, and extensive property damage.

Russian drone strikes in the Chernihiv and Kherson regions caused civilian casualties on July 11 and 12. A strike in Koriukivka killed a 44-year-old man and injured three others, including a 12-year-old girl, while additional attacks targeted infrastructure and a passenger minibus in Kherson, injuring bystanders.

Russian attack drones struck Kherson and Chernihiv regions on July 11, injuring five civilians and causing property damage. In Kherson’s Korabelnyi district, four people were injured, including a 53-year-old man with shrapnel wounds. In Chernihiv, one person was hurt, and fires broke out in a home and vehicle.

Ukrainian defense forces conducted coordinated strikes on a Russian military airfield in occupied Crimea and strategic infrastructure in Donetsk and other regions. Targets included the Gvardiyske airfield, two road bridges near Huselnykove and Staromarivka, and three ammunition depots across Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kherson.

Russian-occupied forces have caused two fires that burned nearly 2,000 hectares of the Askania-Nova Biosphere Reserve in the occupied Kherson Region. The fires destroyed rare steppe habitats and endangered plant species, with the reserve attributing the damage to the military presence of occupying troops.

Power was fully or partially cut in Russian-occupied parts of Ukraine’s Kherson region amid increased Ukrainian drone strikes targeting occupied infrastructure and Crimea-linked logistics. Moscow-installed authorities reported the blackouts as part of the surge in attacks.

Ukraine’s military intel agency (HUR) accused Russian forces of improperly disposing of anthrax-infected livestock in the occupied Kherson region, posing risks to civilians, agriculture, and the environment. HUR warned that Russia could later use this to accuse Ukraine of using biological weapons.

A drone attack targeted the Tyumen oil refinery in Russia’s Western Siberia, approximately 1,900 kilometers from Ukraine. Regional officials claimed the attack was repelled, but residents reported explosions and smoke. The attack coincided with Ukrainian drone strikes on logistical routes, energy infrastructure, and military command posts in Crimea, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Belgorod regions.

Ukrainian defense forces have damaged a key railway artery and a military pontoon crossing in the occupied Kherson region. The strikes on the Chonhar and Henichesk bridges have worsened the fuel and supply crisis in Crimea.

Traffic between Henichesk and the Arabat Spit in the occupied Kherson region was temporarily suspended after Russian-installed officials attributed a bridge closure to a Ukrainian missile strike. The closure affects another route connecting occupied territories with Crimea following previous attacks on the strategically important Chonhar bridges.

Ukraine launched a drone attack on St. Petersburg, targeting defense facilities, a naval base, and oil depots in Russia's Leningrad and Krasnodar regions. The assault occurred hours after President Vladimir Putin rejected peace talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a major economic forum. Russian air defenses shot down 144 drones, and the strikes caused fires and disruptions at a commercial airport.
