Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir arrived in Turkiye for a two-day official visit, during which he will meet with military and political leaders. The visit follows a previous meeting between General Metin Tokel of Turkish Land Forces and Munir in Pakistan, where they discussed regional security and defense cooperation. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently visited Turkiye to discuss economic and trade cooperation with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The Pakistan Army team secured first position at the International Pace Sticking Competition 2026 in the UK, winning all major awards including the Overall Team Trophy, Best Pace Sticker, and Best Driver. The nine-member contingent, led by Major Haider Gulzar, competed against 16 international teams. Pakistan has previously won the competition in 2020 and Exercise Cambrian Patrol in 2025, 2024, 2017, 2016, and 2015.
