Lieutenant General Aamer Raza, chief of general staff of the Pakistan Army, was promoted to four-star general and appointed Commander National Strategic Command (CNSC) by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The CNSC role was established under the 27th Constitutional Amendment, which restructured military command and transferred nuclear management responsibilities from the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee. Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, was appointed as the first Chief of Defence Forces under the same amendment.

The government will fix fuel prices daily due to fluctuations in international markets caused by renewed US-Iran hostilities in the Persian Gulf. Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik stated that Ogra will determine prices based on a seven-day international market average and publish factors influencing them, aiming to increase transparency.

The Pakistani army's top leadership reaffirmed its commitment to securing Pakistan's water share under the Indus Waters Treaty amid Indian actions, condemned human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, and emphasized countering hybrid warfare. The Corps Commanders' Conference also highlighted Pakistan's role in promoting regional dialogue and stability.

Kampala Lord Mayor Ronald Balimwezo stated he is unaware of any planned meeting between Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and Kampala Capital City Authority leadership to discuss road infrastructure. Balimwezo said his attendance would depend on party approval.

Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Chief of Defence Forces, requested the court to dismiss Kizza Besigye's application alleging death threats, arguing the claims are speculative and based on hearsay. Besigye, an opposition politician, filed the application against Muhoozi.
