Triathlon coach training for Ironman fights off alligator attack during practice swim

Triathlon coach Jonathan Bruney was attacked by a 4-to 5-foot alligator during an Ironman practice swim rehearsal in the Savannah River near North Augusta, S.C. Bruney managed to fight off the attack by targeting the gator's eye, while triathlete Matthew Davis subsequently applied a tourniquet after Bruney sustained deep lacerations.
