Salisbury man given $1M bond after allegedly threatening to shoot high school

A 22-year-old Salisbury man named Darius Gatewood was given a $1 million bond after being charged with threatening violence and child sex crimes. Authorities alleged that he sent threats of mass violence directed at Albemarle High School via the STEM Messager. In addition to the threat, Gatewood was also charged with statutory rape of a child aged “15 years old or younger.”
