Shakira makes surprise visit to earthquake-damaged Colombia and commits to building new schools

Superstar Shakira visited Quibdó, Colombia, following a devastating earthquake that affected educational sites across western Colombia. She committed to helping build at least 10 new schools in the hard-hit region. The project will be a collaboration between her Fundación Pies Descalzos and The Howard G. Buffett foundation, supplemented by pledges from Global Citizen and Live Nation.
