Shakira makes surprise visit in earthquake-damaged Colombia and commits to rebuilding schools

Colombian superstar Shakira made a surprise visit to Quibdó, Chocó, after a devastating earthquake damaged numerous schools and educational sites. She pledged to help rebuild at least 10 schools and restore a local university. The effort will be supported by Howard G. Buffett's foundation, Shakira's Fundación Pies Descalzos, and pledges from FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, Live Nation, and CAF Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean.
