Shakira makes surprise visit in earthquake-damaged Colombia and commits to building new schools

Superstar Shakira visited Quibdó in western Colombia after a devastating earthquake struck the region, which damaged many educational sites. She committed to helping build at least 10 new schools in the hard-hit area of Chocó. The initiative will be managed by her foundation (Fundación Pies Descalzos) in collaboration with Howard G. Buffett's foundation and supported by pledges from Global Citizen and Live Nation.
