Fire Department Seeks Whole Blood Program for Emergency Patients

The Pasadena Fire Department plans to begin carrying whole blood for emergency transfusions in the field under a proposed contract. The City Council will consider authorizing this contract with Houchin Community Blood Bank. This new pre-hospital administration program is being developed by the Fire Department in partnership with Huntington Medical Hospital.
