A 51-year-old Pasadena man, Dany Colo – Ramirez, was arrested after assaulting a relative and attempting to strike police officers with a chair. Officers responded to the 700 block of Merit Drive around 6:52 a.m. to find the suspect breaking an exterior window with a chair during the incident.

Pasadena firefighters extinguished a small room and contents fire at a residential building on South Oak Knoll Avenue early Wednesday. The fire was contained to the unit of origin, and the incident was declared closed after 3:39 a.m. following checks for fire extension.
