Three Democrats vie to take on Steil in Wisconsin’s 1st CD in Tuesday’s primary
Three Democrats—Mitchell Berman, Miguel Aranda, and Lorenzo Santos—are vying in a primary contest for Wisconsin's 1st Congressional District challenger against U.S. Rep. Bryan Steil. The district has historically been reliably blue from the 1970s until 1994, but it has been held by Republicans since 2018. All three Democrats have focused their campaign messages on President Donald Trump and issues such as affordability and rising healthcare costs.
