Tourism sector is staying afloat, but with warning signs

Mexico's tourism GDP fell 0.8% quarter-over-quarter and 0.1% year-over-year in Q1, driven by a 1.1% decline in tourism services. Inbound tourism consumption dropped 5.9% quarterly and 18.4% annually, while domestic tourism spending rose 0.5% quarterly and 5.4% yearly. Goods production linked to tourism grew 0.3% quarterly but remained insufficient to offset overall declines.
