‘This was an answer to prayers’: Incarcerated people help prep fresh produce for kids through a new Delaware food program

Delaware's Farm to Processing program, an expansion of the Farm to Community initiative, employs incarcerated individuals at the Sussex Community Corrections Center to prepare fresh produce for distribution to the Western Sussex Boys and Girls Club. The program addresses gaps in processing infrastructure for local farmers while providing skill development opportunities for correctional residents.
