Chinese rocket scientists find ‘most effective’ way to nuke a doomsday asteroid

Chinese researchers propose using a nuclear bomb buried beneath an asteroid's surface to destroy or deflect it. The method involves a metal penetrator creating a hole, followed by a spacecraft dropping the bomb, based on simulations by the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology in Beijing.
