Cheyenne Mountain Zoo announces birth of female Amur leopard

The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo announced the birth of a female Amur leopard cub on May 5. The cub, born to 12-year-old Anya, is developing well and will be named later by a donor. The zoo participates in the Amur Leopard Species Survival Plan to conserve the critically endangered species, with only about 100 Amur leopards remaining in the wild.
