Charlotte police officer arrested for alleged Flock Safety misuse accused of giving information to ‘drug target’

A Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer, Seth Daniel Elliott, was arrested for allegedly misusing Flock Safety technology to provide license plate information to a person involved in a drug investigation. The officer accessed data via Flock Safety and CJLEADS, then shared it with the target, leading to his unpaid administrative leave and a charge of illegally accessing a government computer.
