Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer accused of running illegal search using Flock Safety, offenders data base

A Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer was charged for allegedly using Flock Safety and a criminal offender database to conduct an unauthorized license plate registration search. The officer was placed on unpaid administrative leave and had access to systems revoked following the investigation.
