AWOL Mitch McConnell challenged by his governor: ‘provide proof of your capacity to serve, or resign’

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear urged Sen. Mitch McConnell to either prove his ability to serve after a hospital stay or resign, citing public speculation about his health. Beshear also asked Senate Majority Leader John Thune to investigate if McConnell fails to demonstrate capacity to serve. McConnell remains in a rehabilitation facility and has not been medically cleared to leave.
