Kentucky governor demands that McConnell prove he is fit to serve or resign

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear has demanded Sen. Mitch McConnell either prove his fitness to serve after a hospital stay or resign. McConnell, hospitalized following a fall, has not been medically cleared to leave a rehabilitation facility and will miss key political events and Senate votes. Beshear also urged Senate Majority Leader John Thune to investigate if McConnell does not demonstrate his ability to serve.
