Kentucky governor calls on McConnell to prove he is fit to serve or resign: 'Address the people'

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear is demanding that Sen. Mitch McConnell prove his fitness to serve in Congress after his hospitalization and ongoing rehabilitation. Beshear urged McConnell to address the people of Kentucky directly or resign, following McConnell’s discharge but lack of medical clearance to return to work. The governor also called on Senate Majority Leader John Thune to investigate if McConnell does not demonstrate his capacity to serve.
