Man survives month at sea after mast breaks during solo sail across Pacific

Kai Sato, a 39-year-old California man, survived 32 days adrift in the Pacific Ocean after his sailboat's mast broke during a solo journey. He repaired his vessel with makeshift materials, endured water and food shortages, and was rescued by the Pasha Hawaii ship before planning a future sail to the Philippines.
