Allergy medication sold nationwide recalled for potentially life-threatening mix-up with wrong pills
Unique Pharmaceutical Laboratories is recalling cetirizine hydrochloride tablets (generic Zyrtec) due to contamination with ranitidine (Zantac), which could cause life-threatening reactions in hypersensitive individuals. The FDA confirmed the recall after a pharmacy technician identified wrong-colored pills in the bottles. No illnesses have been reported.
