Number of cyclosporiasis cases in Michigan jumps to over 5,000, MDHHS says
The number of confirmed cyclosporiasis cases in Michigan increased to 5,002, with 102 hospitalizations, as the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) identified lettuce or salad greens as a possible source. MDHHS issued recommendations to discard outer leaves, wash inner leaves, and cook greens to 158°F to mitigate the parasite's risk.
