World Sailing measures the environmental impact of the sport's Olympic equipment for the first time

World Sailing is conducting its first life cycle assessment of Olympic sailing equipment to measure environmental impact and inform sustainable changes. The initiative, led by sustainability director Alexandra Rickham, involves data collection from boat builders and athletes to identify reduction strategies, such as reusable materials and recycling, with support from partners like Marine Futures and 11th Hour Racing.
