World Sailing measures the environmental impact of the sport's Olympic equipment for the first time

World Sailing is conducting a first-time life cycle assessment of Olympic sailing equipment to reduce its environmental impact. The project, led by sustainability director Alexandra Rickham, involves data collection from builders and athletes to inform decisions on materials, design, and reuse. Collaborators include Marine Futures and 11th Hour Racing, aiming to embed sustainability into the sport's future.
