New Training Rules Could Be In Store for Police Oversight Commissioners

Pasadena’s civilian police watchdogs may be required to complete new training requirements, including visiting the Police Department’s shooting range, ride-alongs, and community-based training on implicit bias and the city’s policing history. The proposed rules, adopted by the Community Police Oversight Commission (CPOC) with a 7-4 vote, are set for review by a City Council committee.
