Braves RHP Spencer Strider placed on 15-day injured list with elbow inflammation
Atlanta Braves right-hander Spencer Strider was placed on the 15-day injured list with right elbow inflammation after exiting a game against the New York Mets due to shoulder and elbow soreness. Manager Walt Weiss noted reduced velocity in Strider's fastball, and the team replaced him with JR Ritchie in the rotation while recalling Anthony Molina to the roster. Strider, recovering from a strained oblique earlier this season, has a 5.31 ERA in 2024 and a 4.66 ERA since returning from elbow surgery in 2023.
