Local Electeds Seek Protections From Density Laws Already Suspended for Palisades
Governor Newsom suspended California’s housing density laws in Los Angeles fire zones, protecting the Palisades but excluding most of Altadena, where the Eaton Fire destroyed over 9,400 structures. State Senator Sasha Renée Pérez and Assemblymember John Harabedian are pushing legislation to impose a five-year moratorium on two statewide measures to close the gap.
