Wildfires burning across Georgia and Florida destroy homes and force evacuations

Wildfires in Georgia and Florida have destroyed 50 homes, forced evacuations, and led to school closures. The Georgia forestry commission issued a mandatory burn ban across 91 counties due to worsening drought conditions and rising wildfire activity. Smoke from the fires has impacted air quality in Atlanta and Savannah.
