Teen charged after tackling middle school football player

A 16-year-old girl from Marshall County, Tennessee ran onto a middle school football field during a game between South Middle School and Cornersville Middle School and tackled a player who was involved in a scuffle. The Franklin County Sheriff's Office charged her with assault and disorderly conduct, and she was subsequently banned from district athletic events.
