Families speak out after viral video of teen tackling football player during middle school game

A 16-year-old girl was charged with assault and disorderly conduct after running onto a field to tackle a middle school football player during a game between South Middle School and Cornersville Middle School. Authorities permanently banned the teen from Franklin County School System property for one year, while the injured player's father issued a statement defending his son’s character.
