The UDF government has ordered a re-investigation into a KSU black flag protest against Veena George. The decision follows a petition by KSU activists who were arrested on charges of attempted murder and armed assault.

A plea by a KSU worker accused of attacking Veena George before the Kerala High Court was withdrawn after the FIR was amended to remove the 'attempt to murder' charge during investigation. The petitioner cited the modification in the FIR as the reason for the withdrawal.
