The Supreme Court has requested Delhi Police's response regarding the bail applications of two individuals accused of being Indian Mujahideen operatives. The court referenced its January ruling, where some Delhi riot suspects were granted bail while Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam had their bail denied for a year.

Sharjeel Imam and Umar Khalid have filed fresh bail applications in a case related to the 2020 Delhi riots, arguing there has been no significant trial progress despite the Supreme Court dismissing their previous plea over six months ago.
