    Last year’s PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club generated $192 million in economic benefit for the Charlotte region, according to a study by Tourism Economics commissioned by the PGA of America and Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority. Direct spending during the event totaled $116 million on hotels, restaurants, and transportation.
