- PGA championship brought $192M to Charlotte Region
Last year’s PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club generated $192 million in economic benefit for the Charlotte region, according to a study by Tourism Economics commissioned by the PGA of America and Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority. Direct spending during the event totaled $116 million on hotels, restaurants, and transportation.

The Women’s PGA Championship at Hazeltine National Golf Club from June 25-28 will feature World No. 1 Nelly Korda, 12 past champions including defending champion Minjee Lee, and all top 100 players in the Race to CME Globe Rankings. Kate Smith-Stroh will compete via a special exemption, and Hazeltine will host its fifth PGA event, including the 2029 Ryder Cup.
