According to staff members, the gunfire started following an argument between two men who knew each other. The building housing the restaurant was subsequently closed for the day.

Antisemitic flyers with swastikas and derogatory language were discovered in Berkley and Southfield, prompting police investigations. The Anti-Defamation League confirmed the flyers' antisemitic imagery, and police suspect they were distributed from a moving vehicle. The incident follows an FBI-designated Hezbollah-inspired attack on Temple Israel in West Bloomfield.

A suspect is in custody after two firearms were stolen from a Southfield gun store, resulting in gunfire outside the location. The store owner confirmed an employee fired shots to stop the suspect, but no injuries were reported. Police are investigating the incident as assault with intent to murder.
