Mexican environmental officials have rejected Royal Caribbean's proposed Perfect Day beach park development in Mahahual, citing threats to the region's fragile ecosystem and local community character. The decision follows weeks of backlash from residents and environmental advocates, including a Change.org petition that garnered over 4.8 million signatures opposing the project.
