Semarnat halts Nayarit luxury beach development over environmental violations

Mexico’s Environment Ministry halted a luxury beach development in Nayarit due to environmental violations by developer Cantiles de Mita. The project, which included a hotel and luxury residences, was canceled after unauthorized construction in a protected coastal zone and public protests.
