Grosse Pointe Park has voted to switch its trash hauler from Priority Waste to Express Waste Services starting October 1, aiming to improve service reliability and customer satisfaction. The change follows a similar decision by neighboring St. Clair Shores and includes a $2.93 monthly rate increase for residents.

St. Clair Shores switched to Express Waste Services two weeks early to replace Priority Waste after months of missed pickups and resident complaints. The new contract costs $204,000 more than the previous one, but residents and officials praised the improved service.
