- DC Circuit rules USPS challenges must filter through Postal Regulatory Commission
The D.C. Circuit ruled that challenges to U.S. Postal Service policy changes must first be addressed through the Postal Regulatory Commission before federal courts can consider them, reversing a lower court's decision that had granted a coalition of states and cities summary judgment. The case involved 2020 USPS changes, including reduced mail sorting and delivery operations, which plaintiffs argued could disrupt the November 2020 election.
- USPS raises Forever stamp prices again
The U.S. Postal Service is increasing the price of Forever stamps from 78 cents to 82 cents, effective July 12, citing rising operational costs and a $2.7 billion net loss for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2025. Other postage rates, including domestic and international letters and postcards, are also being raised.
