Pedestrian bridge

Seven people are feared dead and two University of Abuja (UniAbuja) students were injured in a truck crash near the campus gate. The accident, involving eight vehicles, occurred at 11:40 a.m. beneath a pedestrian bridge near the university entrance, causing panic among students and motorists.

Construction crews closed the H-1 in both directions between Middle Street and the Likelike Highway off-ramp from 8 p.m. Saturday until 8 a.m. Sunday. This closure is part of a major project aimed at reducing traffic congestion and enhancing pedestrian safety.
