    Danny Gibson and Patrick Watson were rescued after their boat stranded them for nearly 36 hours off Ormond Beach, Florida, due to electrical failures. They were located by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission and towed back to shore by the U.S. Coast Guard.

    Video shows driver in ocean after fatal hit-and run Florida beachside crash

    Deanna Harrell was involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Daytona Beach Shores, striking and killing toll booth worker Tammie Jo Baker. Witnesses recorded videos of Harrell driving a damaged Ford F-150 near the scene and later of deputies arresting her after the truck stalled in sand and water. Harrell was detained under the Baker Act for mental health assessment due to statements made in custody.
