Ellen Johnson Sirleaf urged President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, the Supreme Court, and the National Legislature to establish a Specialized National Anti-Corruption Court to address corruption in Liberia. She described the court as the missing piece in the country's accountability framework.

The Economic Freedom Fighters of Liberia (EFFL) argue that requiring political parties to field 30 percent female candidates will not alone boost women's representation in the National Legislature. The party proposes adopting a proportional representation electoral system as a more effective solution.
