The Magnificent Mile's vacancy rates have decreased as new retail stores on Michigan Avenue drive a resurgence in Chicago's retail district.

Three people died after a car crashed into a stopped semi-truck on I-94 in Wayne County due to flooding. The incident occurred near Michigan Avenue around 11:44 p.m. on July 3. The surviving driver was taken into custody as the investigation continues.
