Surveillance videos in Miami captured Nicholas Jabbour abusing his dog, Buzz, in an elevator. Police arrested Jabbour on April 10, and he pleaded not guilty to aggravated animal cruelty. Buzz was taken into custody by Miami-Dade Animal Services and is in good health.

Wilkhari Jones, a former Miami Edison Senior High School football player, was sentenced to 13 years in prison and three years probation for shooting at Officer Erica Socarras during a traffic stop in 2020. Jones pleaded guilty to multiple charges including first-degree attempted premeditated murder, and his co-defendant Antranard Womble received a 15-year sentence for the same incident.

A Miami police officer initially issued a warning to Jose Rivero, who claimed to be a Florida Highway Patrol trooper, but later arrested him after discovering he was no longer employed with FHP. Rivero faced a felony charge for falsely impersonating an officer and had a suspended driver’s license.
