The Windrush compensation scheme requires a significant overhaul to address its failure in rectifying a grave injustice, according to a Westminster inquiry. The independent Windrush commissioner, Clive Foster, recommended providing legal support to claimants to reduce denials and align the scheme with compensation programs for the Post Office Horizon and infected blood scandals.
