Infected blood scandal compensation to rise

The UK government has allocated an additional £1bn for compensation payments to victims of the infected blood scandal and their relatives, including £35,000 extra for former Treloar pupils. The final report on the NHS treatment disaster was published in May 2024, but the compensation scheme remains controversial.
